The Beirut Alumni Chapter of SU hosted alumni, friends, family, and esteemed colleagues from the Lebanese American University; the American University of Beirut, and the American Embassy in Lebanon and AMIDEAST-Lebanon.

A delegation of 40 Trustees, family members and SU administration leaders traveled in June to review academic activity in the Middle East. Stops included Istanbul, where they were hosted by SU partners at Bahcesehir University.

Syracuse University will participate in the third annual International Exhibition & Conference on Higher Education in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on April 17-20. While offering Saudi students access to over 475 universities and academic institutions, the exhibition also encourages knowledge sharing and collaboration between Saudi and international higher education institutions.
Admitted students from the MENAT region met current SU students and alumni at events in Istanbul, Dubai, and Riyadh to ask questions, share stories, and get a strong start to their Syracuse University experience.

Over the course of just two months, Sherlyn Sychua, regional manager for advancement and external affairs/admissions, covered thousands of miles from Dubai to Istanbul visiting high schools and attending educational fairs to share the Syracuse experience with prospective students in the Middle East and Turkey.

Syracuse University has announced the expansion of its educational presence in the Arab Gulf. In June, an information center will open in Dubai, providing resources and background on the University to prospective students and parents.
